In summary,
While inventory continues to be in short supply, August witnessed an unusual uptick in newly listed homes compared to July, hopefully signaling a return in seller activity heading toward the fall season which typically is the best time to buy a home.
Rates continue to be a crutch for some, inflation is still high, and yet, there is still more demand than supply. As we see inventory tick up, we might see a decrease in home prices. However, I advise that you don’t hold your breathe. In a year from now, we will all look back and say, we lived, thrived and survived one of the wildest times in Real Estate history that not ONE PERSON could effectively predict.
Cheers to those that THRIVE!
